Ash Wood
Counsellor & Founder
Hi, I’m Ash — counsellor, behavioural scientist, Protective Behaviours trainer, and founder of Little Tree Counselling.

I hold a Master of Counselling and have spent almost 20 years supporting children, women, families, schools and child protection professionals across a range of settings. While I value this broad experience, what I truly love is working one-on-one with clients — walking alongside them as they navigate their lives, creating space for clarity, connection and meaningful change.
My practice is grounded in human rights, self-determination, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel safe, understood and supported. I offer deeply empathetic, neuro-affirming counselling for individuals, parents and families on their unique journeys.
I’m also a proud (and often tired) parent of three boys, including one with Autism (PDA profile) and ADHD. I am neurodivergent myself, and this lived experience — alongside my professional training — profoundly shapes my work. I understand both the theory and the 3am realities.

You’ll often find me sitting on the floor playing, using creative and experiential approaches, or taking sessions outdoors — because connection, safety, sunshine and regulation form the foundation for real and lasting change.

Hadas Gavriel
Counsellor
I’m Hadas. I’m a counsellor, an educator, a partner, and a mum to a very curious little human.

I am passionate about supporting individuals in a gentle, client-centred, and affirmative way. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the heart of meaningful change, so I take the time to ensure each person feels safe and comfortable before we begin any therapeutic work together.
In my practice, I regularly support individuals navigating experiences such as anxiety, emotional regulation, identity exploration, grief and loss, and life transitions. I take trauma-informed and strengths-based practice. My approach is warm and systemic - I believe we are all shaped by the families and communities we belong to. I aim to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and grounded in genuine connection.

I bring a global perspective to this work, having completed a Master’s in Educational Counselling in Israel before moving to Perth and graduating with a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy from Edith Cowan University. I am pleased to provide therapeutic support in both English and Hebrew. As a PACFA-registered practitioner, I am dedicated to providing evidence-based care that is both professional and deeply human.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find me volunteering within our local community, spending time in the garden, or chasing after my son and our dog, Lizzy, in the Perth sunshine.

Aryan Manoj
Parent Support
Hi, I’m Ary.
I work in Parental Support at Little Tree Counselling, where I support parents in navigating the complexities of home life and additional care needs.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, I bring both knowledge and practical understanding to my work. I’m passionate about helping parents make sense of information, build confidence in their decisions, and develop realistic strategies that work for their unique family.
Before entering this field, I spent years working as a barista — which means I’m just as comfortable working with people as I am working with information. I value connection, clear communication and creating a space where parents feel heard, supported and understood.
I have a strong interest in education and practical problem-solving, and I love supporting families to move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling capable and confident.
