Parent & carer support

$99 / hour

We offer one-to-one support for parents to help them where they are at. We walk alongside and support parents through the often challenging journey of advocating for their child either pre or post diagnosis, and help them find the best fit for their unique family and children.

We can help parents to access often hidden services, implement therapeutic and supportive strategies at home and school, problem solve challenges the family might be facing and plan and prioritise for the future, and to get the whole family on board and keep everyone in the home connected and thriving.

We offer telehealth or or in-home appointments (with a small travel fee) as we also know how hard it is to get time away from life.

Counselling

$129 / hour

Parents are often forgotten in the day to day family life and having a child with extra needs can be an emotional, challenging and often isolating journey. Supporting and advocating for our child can often be overwhelming, and can impact every part of our lives - emotionally, socially and even professionally. Self reflection, and self-care is often not an option, let along high on the priority list.

However, Dr Daniel Siegel says that one of the best things parents can do for their children, is to look after themselves and reflect on their  parenting with awareness. We help parents to look after themselves, explore challenges that may come up for them while raising a neurodiverse child and support them emotionally, so they can be the best parents they can for their special children.

We offer telehealth or or in-home appointments (with a small travel fee) as we also know how hard it is to get time away from life.

Counselling sessions may also be eligible for private health fund rebates - please contact us for options.

What our parents say..

" Ash's gentleness, ability to join with us and drawing on our strengths was positive as well as her existing knowledge "

- MW

Ashleigh has always treated me with calm care and support. She has a great depth of knowledge and understanding with a very gentle touch but she won't sugar coat it if that's what you need to hear either! Ashleigh has always been able to offer 'out of the box' solutions for child rearing, self care and how to cope when you don't feel like you can. Ash also supported me through a marriage breakdown and helped me get back on my feet not just as a mother but as a woman. I can honestly not recommend her enough! Our family has blossomed, thank you Ashleigh

" I really want to thank you for all your help and support in applying for my son’s NDIS funding. We got a really good package and I am very grateful "
