Parent & carer support
$99 per session
We offer one-to-one parent support designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Parenting can be complex at the best of times — and when your child has additional needs, it can become emotional, overwhelming and, at times, isolating. We walk alongside parents through the often challenging journey of understanding, advocating for and supporting their child — whether you are exploring concerns, pre-diagnosis, newly diagnosed, or further along the path.

At Little Tree Counselling, we recognise that parents are often a child’s first therapists, strongest advocates and true experts on their own child. Our role is to support your wellbeing, confidence and clarity so you can continue to show up in these important roles in a sustainable way.

Our approach is warm, practical and strengths-based. We create a safe and collaborative space where you can reflect, ask questions, process challenges and develop strategies that are realistic for your unique family. We can work together to:
-
navigate assessment and diagnosis pathways
-
advocate for appropriate supports at home, school or within services
-
implement therapeutic strategies in everyday life
-
problem-solve family challenges
-
plan and prioritise next steps
-
strengthen connection within the family
-
support your own emotional wellbeing

Parenting a neurodivergent child can impact every part of life — emotionally, socially and professionally. Self-care and reflection often fall to the bottom of the list. Yet research consistently highlights that one of the most powerful supports for a child is a parent who feels supported and emotionally resourced.
We help parents explore their own responses, build confidence, and care for themselves while caring for their child — so the whole family can remain connected and thriving.

Appointments are available via telehealth or in-home (travel fee may apply), recognising how difficult it can be to find time away from daily responsibilities.

Wherever you are in your journey, we will meet you there — and walk alongside you toward where you want to be.
What our parents say..
" Ash's gentleness, ability to join with us and drawing on our strengths was positive as well as her existing knowledge "
- MW
Ashleigh has always treated me with calm care and support. She has a great depth of knowledge and understanding with a very gentle touch but she won't sugar coat it if that's what you need to hear either! Ashleigh has always been able to offer 'out of the box' solutions for child rearing, self care and how to cope when you don't feel like you can. Ash also supported me through a marriage breakdown and helped me get back on my feet not just as a mother but as a woman. I can honestly not recommend her enough! Our family has blossomed, thank you Ashleigh
- CF
" I really want to thank you for all your help and support in applying for my son’s NDIS funding. We got a really good package and I am very grateful "
